Blogging Therapy

The sun is still shining....
Breakfasts are being eaten,
school lunches being packed...
I've collected acorns with Charlie,
vacuumed up a giant mess made with powdered sugar,
attended teacher conferences and remembered basketball & swim practices...
Everyday life with young children is quite possibly the
best therapy right now.  I am grateful for the simple,
sometimes mundane, tasks of caring for a home and family
to remind myself that amidst a sad time our lives will go on.

And blogging will too.
Because I enjoy and crave the creative outlet.
Because beautiful homes, inspiring & funny women, new recipes & projects
are things I've missed reading about this last week.

Here are just a few of the images that made me smile,
as I began to play catch-up in Google Reader today.

I think I'm drawn to all these homes because they look real.
Not overly perfect and all coordinated.
Maybe a little teeny bit messy, because life is messy,
and messy can be beautiful.

I wish all of you a lovely weekend.
Thank you again for all your kind comments, emails and prayers.
While I don't have thousands of readers (ok, let's be honest, I don't have hundreds of readers either) but those of you that do read this blog are a genuinely kind bunch of ladies, and I feel lucky to "know" you.
I look forward to catching back up with you on your blogs too!
