Grey, Gray

How do you spell it?  Me, I like it with an "e".  The weather's grey today.  My children are sleepy.  I'm looking for the perfect shade of grey to paint my dining room hutch... Darker than my grey trim (Bennington Grey  from BM), not too blue, not too grey, not too brown & needs to work with my warmer tones...
Suggestions???
