The Story Of Us
Twelve years ago today, I married this man. It was a bright, warm, sunny day in May. I couldn't wait to become his wife. We were young, crazy in love and really, truly the best of friends. Though our story had begun many years earlier...
One of our first dates was our High School Homecoming dance. I was a sophomore and J was a junior. I thought he was quite possibly the most gorgeous boy I'd ever seen. We were 16.
We dated through out high school, went to separate colleges, and made many memories in between. And shortly after college graduation we were living in Boston and engaged.
I love him more with each passing year, each passing day. For so many reasons. He is my favorite person. He is a patient, loving, and involved husband and father. He makes me feel beautiful, appreciated, and smart. We share the same values and goals and he's interested and supportive in how I feel and what I care about (even when the topic is curtain fabric). He loves my cooking. He doesn't complain. EVER. He doesn't have a temper. He's thoughtful.
My life is better in so many ways because I share it with you. And even though there are times we make each other a little crazy, I'm thankful they are short lived are few and far between.
After all these years, I'm still crazy in love with you. I am honored to be your wife. I count my blessing each day. You are so good to me and such an wonderful example for our boys.
