The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies! Ever!

Last Saturday was the Annual Village Wide Yard Sale.
Or as I like to think of it, an annual occasion to buy more plastic junk toys from your friends.
A bevy of customers with coins, called for a lemonade stand (with "the volume turned up" - as Ina likes to say) for Andrew and his best bud, Payton.

I made my all time favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe.
Chocolate chip cookies were the very first thing I learned to make in the kitchen.
I made them for J on his birthday, before baseball games, for care packages in college, etc. because it was
the only thing I knew how to make.
Since those days I've made a couple tweaks to the recipe.

I use the Nestle Toll House recipe as the base.
I omit the nuts because the little people around here aren't fans.
In ADDITION to the bag of Toll House chips, I add another bag of Ghirardelli Semi Sweet Chips.
Yes, you heard correctly.  Double the chocolate.
Also, only use unsalted butter (no margarine).
They are seriously, and I mean seriously delicious.
And doubling up on Toll House chips or Ghiradelli chips doesn't work.
It has to be 1 bag of each.  Not sure why, you'll just have to trust me.

The cookies & strawberry lemonade sold like hotcakes.
Or maybe it was the due to the extra cute & charming sales people! :)
