The Sconset Bouquet Plate

Coming to the shop this Thursday, June 2nd is a special plate collection that has been 6 months in the making and I couldn’t be more excited to offer them to you. The design was inspired by the small bouquets I like to place in our rental cottages when vacationing on Nantucket in the summer. It’s always one of the first things I do after we unpack and settle in. Most home owners encourage it, especially when clipping overgrown bushes or flowers that are falling to the ground. Nantucket has no shortage of wild and beautiful blooms in the summer and I wanted to capture that feeling in a pattern on plates to use for decoration and entertaining year round. I originally commissioned to have these created just for my personal use, but when I saw the sample I knew I wanted to share them with you too. Never mind I had sworn off selling and shipping breakable goods, these are worth being an exception!

The plates are handmade, each one hand painted in Columbia by a family of talented ceramic artists. Because each is made individually there are slight variations and no two plates are identical, adding to their charm. Each is 8.25” in diameter and are available in three colors: Antique Gold, Nantucket Red, Hedge Green. They are dishwasher safe, though I recommend hand washing. The perfect size for appetizers, salads, or hanging on the wall as art. I also love to display a single plate on a stack of books or use under a pretty candle or layered over the top of dinner plates. I just love them so much!

Please note I have a limited quantity available. The colors pictured here are taken in natural light without filters. They will be available in my online shop starting at 10 AM Eastern Time, June 2nd.
