Fall Fashion Finds

wearing these jeans, bracelets (similar), flats (scarf is old from Sezane)

It’s been a while since I did a fashion round up and there is no time quite like the change of seasons to freshen up your closet. This fall I was on the hunt for denim and pants that were just as cozy as leggings (an unrealistically tall order?), ones I would reach for first on chilly days when I didn’t feel like wearing a pair of tights or leggings. I have always been, and forever will be, a dress wearer first and foremost, but the last couple years I have been less eager to wear tights. I think it’s a combination of pandemic life and being a dog owner. I feel sort of ridiculous taking Quincy on a walk in the winter wearing a skirt and tights. Likewise with Covid, it felt odd to wear them around the house all day with nowhere to go. And, the less I wore them, the less I wanted to wear them, which brings me to autumn 2021 and my denim/pants conundrum. And before anyone suggests athelsuire wear - I just don’t get ready in the morning and put it on. Ever. Unless I’m going to workout.

Well, I’m happy to report that after lots of try-ons and returned packages, I found BOTH denim and cords that I’m OBSESESSED with, so much so, that I ordered 4 pairs of the jeans and 3 pairs of the cords. To round out my fall wardrobe, I also replaced my worn out camel ballet flats, received a new pair of boots for my birthday, discovered some cute accessories, and added a few cozy sweaters. All of which is linked in this post. And of course, a dress or two for good measure, because old habits die hard.

The most comfortable and flattering cords I’ve ever owned. Ordered in all three colors.

Camel ballet flats are a closet staple. I also love these, these and these.

Soft, stretchy, 10/10 comfort that keeps its shape. Wore on vacation everyday. I have in 10” rise and

9” rise. Run TTS.

New to me jewelry company.

Would make lovely holiday gifts. I treated myself to a few for my birthday.

Classic, good quality leather boots last for many years. I also love these which are a little less expensive.

Ivory cable knit sweaters are my absolute favorite fall and winter closet staple. Also love, this, this, this and this.

I bought this one to add to my growing collection. The most comfy dresses of all time. I also bought this one. I think they will be fun around the holidays too! Here is another dress with a similar look for less.

So pretty for dressing up during the holidays. Also love this one. And these earrings are gorgeous.

I have one almost identical in cream from a couple years ago. It looks pretty with a ruffled collared blouse underneath like this one.

This will likely end up being my favorite sweater this season. It is warm without being heavy and insanely soft and has cute slits on the sides that make it unique.

I bought these as well. Mid rise and more slouchy. I sized down one, but could of /should have sized down 2. They are perfect for lazy weekends. Very comfy, they do stretch a bit throughout the day.

These are a great price point if you want to get the look without the investment in real gold.

I love the look of a sweater over a blouse but it can be cumbersome to pull off with a more tailored sweater,. This one gives you the look without the fuss. Also love this version in green.
